Eddie Howe has sent a message to Newcastle chiefs that the club cannot continue without new first-team signings and has insisted he is not interested in selling star man Alexander Isak to make the move a reality.

The head coach was straightforward when discussing Isak’s future and highlighted the fact that this summer will be two years since the club last signed a first-team player.
“It (Isak’s future) is very much linked to a number of other players. I think we have to try and keep our best players,”

Howe said. “I think that’s crucial for our short-term success and our long-term success, so as a manager of a football club I would say we have to keep the group of players together and we have to add players.
