Eddie Howe has sent a message to Newcastle chiefs that the club cannot continue without new first-team signings and has insisted he is not interested in selling star man Alexander Isak to make the move a reality.
The head coach was straightforward when discussing Isak’s future and highlighted the fact that this summer will be two years since the club last signed a first-team player.
“It (Isak’s future) is very much linked to a number of other players. I think we have to try and keep our best players,”
‘We haven’t added (to the first team) in a long time in various transfer windows, for the reasons we’ve all discussed. But we need to move the team forward – and we can’t lose our best players.’

Howe said. “I think that’s crucial for our short-term success and our long-term success, so as a manager of a football club I would say we have to keep the group of players together and we have to add players.
“We haven’t added to the first-team squad for a long time in the transfer window, for reasons we’ve talked about, but we have to take the team forward and we can’t lose our best players.”
