Arsenal have confirmed that striker Gabriel Jesus has had successful knee surgery. It was big bad news for them in their first Premier League title race since 2004.

The Brazil forward was forced off the pitch in Friday’s group stage defeat to Cameroon. It is suspected to be a damaged medial ligament 1 hour after the game.
